Rocklin
The city of Rocklin gets its name from being a major exporter of granite in 1960’s. In 1893 Rocklin officially incorporated, but its populating really exploded in the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. City planners did a wonderful job of planning new parks, recreation centers, shopping centers, schools. Roseville’s Hewlett-Packard gave tremendous boost to Rocklin’s economy. Rocklin really is a sister city of Roseville. Today more 45,000 people call Rocklin their home and it makes Rocklin one of the larger cities in Placer County.
With excellent schools, low crime rate, lots of natural open space, highly educated work force and close proximity to shopping, entertainment and restaurants makes Rocklin one of the most attractive locations to live, work and play.
One of the top community colleges in California is also located in Rocklin. Sierra College, fully accredited two year community college, serves North-Central California’s 20,000 plus students.
